Giving to God not only changes other people’s lives, it also changes our own. Throughout Scripture, followers of Jesus are called to give faithfully to God.

In Malachi 3:10, God tells us to bring our “tithe” to Him, and in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, the Bible describes the exponential impact of a cheerful giver. 

A “tithe” simply means a tenth, or the first 10% of a person’s income that we give to God through our local church.

When we tithe, we are worshipping God in a tangible way by putting Him first in our lives (and in our finances) and trusting Him to keep His promises. By giving to God through First LG, we help create more opportunities for people to become passionate followers of Jesus and make a difference in our church, our community, and our world.
